Your Path to AWP Champion Certification®

Your path to AWP Champion Certification® consists of two sequential components. The program begins with our AWP Fundamentals Certification®, which establishes the essential groundwork. Upon completion, you will advance to our specialized AWP Champion® Certification course, where you will master the comprehensive skills required to lead AWP implementation within your organization.

The AWP Champion® Certification includes a valuable 2-hour live one-to-one coaching session. This personalized coaching provides you with direct access to an expert instructor who will address your specific questions, provide tailored feedback, and help you apply AWP principles to your unique organizational challenges. This dedicated time ensures you receive the individualized attention needed to fully develop your capabilities as an AWP Champion.

Instructor Bio:

Olfa Hamdi is Chairwoman of Concord® Academy. She served as lead researcher on the Construction Industry Institute's seminal guide to Advanced Work Packaging (2013) and authored "Advanced Work Packaging: Guide to Life Cycle Implementation." Olfa Hamdi co-founded Concord® Project Technologies, a global professional project advisory services company. She has led AWP transformation and implementation on multi-billion dollar capital projects globally, conducted program audits for multi-billion dollar portfolios, and developed Predictability Thinking® blueprints for major oil and gas and mining owner organizations at the executive level. An American-trained engineer, Olfa Hamdi established AWP certification standards delivered in multiple languages, developed AWP assurance review protocols, and created professional competency frameworks adopted across the capital projects industry.

Andrew Foy is a Construction Industry professional with 15 years of Capital Project experience in the Oil and Gas sector. He gained 10 years experience as a Project Manager, executing capital projects in Canada, to understand all facets of project delivery working for large Construction contractors.

He then transitioned to a full-time AWP Manager role in 2015, spending five years establishing AWP programs for three large downstream organizations, covering projects ranging from $100 million to several billion. This AWP experience includes early planning efforts during the engineering phases through to implementation of Work Face Planning in the field, including responsibility for writing AWP procedures for these clients and training of client and contractor personnel.

  • How many courses are there for the AWP certifications?

    There are 2 courses - AWP Fundamentals and AWP Champions. AWP Fundamentals is a Mandatory course. Once the fundamental course is completed, you can begin the AWP champion course. Borth courses, along with you AWP Procedure Book copy is included in this bundle and with it a membership to access all our webinars and community.

  • Is there a Membership?

    Yes, we have a membership. The membership needs to be renewed each year. With your AWP Champion program you get to have the membership included.

  • What is the validity of the Certification?

    The certification is valid for 2 years and needs to be renewed once every 2 years.

  • Champion Course: Live Session Information

    The AWP Champion Course includes a 2-hour live session as a key component of the program. This interactive session provides participants with direct access to instructors, real-time feedback, and collaborative learning opportunities. During this dedicated 2-hour block, you'll be able to: - Ask questions directly to course facilitators - Work through practical exercises with expert supervision - Receive personalized feedback on your progress - Dive deeper into complex topics covered in the course materials The live session is designed to complement the self-paced elements of the AWP Champion Course, allowing you to solidify your understanding and apply what you've learned in a supportive environment.
